Breeding Partnership

Q:
How does a breeding partnership work ?

A: A breeding partnership consist of no more then four shares. Each share would be equal to 25% interest in the broodmare and resulting foal or foals. It would entitle each share holder to 25% of the profits from the sale of all foals and also 25% of any breeders bonus awards for the racing life of all foals.

Q: What expenses are involved?

A: You would be billed upon the percentage of your share. For example, a 25% share of a $500.00 bill for that month would cost the shareholder $125.00. The $125.00 maybe potentially used as a tax deduction.

Q: What are the specific expenses involved?

A: As an example, some of the expenses which your portion of the bill would cover are board, veterinary, foaling, stud fee payments, and transportation. Also the additional cost of the resulting foal after every foaling. A full breakdown is in our breeding partnership package.

Q: Who will manage the breeding partnership ?

A: American Classic  Thoroughbreds will make the day to day management decisions of the breeding partnership, but there will be times when the partnership will be asked to vote on certain things such as picking stallions to breed to and naming of foals.

Q: How will I be informed of what's happening in the breeding partnership ?

A: We will try to keep everyone abreast of whats going on in the partnership by communicating via email, newsletters, and phone. We hope to sent emails every few weeks and contact partners by telephone at least once a month.

Q: Where will the breeding partnership breed ?

A: The breeding partnership will do most of its breeding to stallions in the Mid-Atlantic. If possible most of the time to stallions that will stand in Pennsylvania that will be of commercial value to the partnership. The breeders bonus for a stallion that stands in Pennsylvania is 30% compared to stallions standing outside of Pennsylvania that would be 20%. There also will be opertune times that wiil allow the breeding partnership to send a mare to Kentucky and breed to a stallion there.
